Call To Order 8:34 am
Bullard presented proposal and financing for purchase of upgraded tractor which includes cab, box blade, 4WD, front end loader.
Phil Lucas of Voelker Implement (plucas@voelkerimplement.com) presented financing options and confirmed his belief that new equipment is sufficient to handle airport plowing needs.
Ardent discussion
Purchase intended to completely avoid utilization of city crews and equipment for snow removal. Savings expected as shown in Bullards proposal-attached.
Air BP Fuel Credit and Old City Truck proceeds will not be involved in the purchase of the tractor.
Bullard has made arrangement with Arden Shell for additional plowing should we receive an excessive snowfall.
Bullard confident that proposal will enable better service at a lower cost.
Kreckman move, McKenna support purchase of John Deere 5325 with cab, 4WD, 542 Loader, snow blade from Voelker Implement at a cost of $22,400 plus applicable tax. Financing from John Deere Credit up to 9.75% and monthly payment not to exceed $500. Term of 5 years with a 3 year balloon. Authorize Basil Bullard and John Caffrey to execute all documents necessary to effect same.
