Call To Order 8:36 a.m.
Minutes/Warrants/Delegations
- Prior Minutes 2/25 and 2/13 approved.
- Warrants 24, 25 & 26 approved Whittington/Reid: UNANIMOUS
- No Delegations
New Business
Hangars: Steve Carter submitted hangar deposit. Mr. Carter decided against leasing a hangar. GAC subsequently rented to another party. Mr. Carter has requested a return of his deposit.
Kreckman/Reid Motion to return Mr. Carter's deposit upon Airport Manager's verification of receipt of same. Unanimous
Manager's Report
- Various and sundry items being repaired
- Fire Extinguishers inspected and brought up to specifications
- Investigatng replacement of ceiling lights
- Radio Transmitting weak signal
- NDB Inspection complete. NDB operating within specifications
- Crack & Seal early estimate approximately $2,000 for material & equipment exclusive of labor. Josh Reid noted that a firmer sealant is less likely to be peeled up by snow blades. Mike Hargrave to investigate options
- Paul Strack moving ahead with our fuel system.
- 8500 gallons of low-lead delivered 3/12
- Our price is $0.09 below area airports
- Budget to be reviewed at next months meeting.
Pricing shall be uniform. Discounts shall not be given. Kreckman/McKenna 3/13/08 Unanimous
Manager is authorized to change fuel pricing with 24hr notice to commission. Kreckman/Reid 3/13/08 Unanimous
Old Business
Tom McKenna asked that the commission revisit compensation for at large commissioners. The cost of gas alone makes the trip to Gladwin expensive and Tom drives further than any other commission member to attend commission meetings. Currently the County Commissioners and City Council members are paid for the airport commission meeting and the 2 remaining airport commissioners are not.
